Annyalla Chicks (UK) Limited is committed to reduce the impact of the business’s operations on the environment, through the promotion of sustainable practices, and environmental awareness by:

  • Continuous review of the responsible use of pesticides, insecticides and herbicides, seeking to reduce their application where possible and transition to organic products where applicable.

  • Monitoring and reducing source emissions where possible, preventing pollution, and minimising disturbance to the local communities and the environment.

  • Reviewing our environmental management systems (EMS) regularly and setting realistic performance objectives and targets, policies and business practices.

  • Recognising the importance of climate change adaption and factoring these measures into future building projects and site refurbishments.

  • Promoting an energy efficient and waste reduction culture throughout the business structure.

  • Continuing our pro-active approach to the implementation of greener energy initiatives and promoting sustainable practices.

  • The promotion of biodiversity enhancement, through strategic management of site boundaries, planting trees & shrubs, hedges, and encouraging wildflower re-generation.

  • Promoting and continuing to invest in technologies that encourage environmental best practice.

  • Working with local businesses and government agencies to reduce waste, formulate waste minimisation plans, recovery and recycling where possible and proactively working towards zero landfill objectives.
